Treatment Coordination and Advocacy:
Our goal is to guide clients and their families through the maze of mental health and addiction treatment options and to help assure the best chance for long term recovery through appropriate matching between the client and their treatment providers. We offer treatment recommendations in the best interest of the client. We serve as an Advocate, Coordinator and Consultant for clients and their families in all areas including: treatment planning, clinical providers, insurance companies, the legal system, employers and victims reparation funds. We offer support through each step of the recovery process.
Family Coaching:
We educate clients and their family members on how the treatment and recovery process works, what to expect, how to support their loved one in their treatment plan and offer sound, professional advice to get the most out of the healing opportunities that are available. We teach them about the different levels of care, what questions to ask, what key factors are most important in successful treatment, the varying treatment modalities and how to make the best informed decisions for themselves and their recovery.
Assessment:
An extensive telephone interview is conducted to assess an individual’s treatment needs and the best therapeutic approaches to address those needs. Topics covered during the assessment include: patterns of substance abuse, family history, previous treatment and recovery experiences, self harm, past suicide attempts, dissociative experiences, trauma and abuse history, patterns of disordered eating and body image issues, relationship history, experiences with medications as well as any other current symptoms. Additionally, previous mental health records are reviewed and prior treatment providers are consulted to obtain “the big picture” for each individual client. When appropriate, collateral information may be obtained from family members as well.
Referrals and Treatment Recommendations:
Written recommendations and referrals for all appropriate levels of care are provided. This may include any or all of the following: hospitalization, detoxification, primary treatment for addictions, eating disorders or dual diagnosis, intensive outpatient programs, halfway houses, transitional living, 12-step meetings, family therapy, outpatient therapist, psychiatrists and holistic practitioners.
Research:
National facilities, programs, therapists, psychiatrists and other treatment providers are researched and interviewed to find the best match clinically, logistically and financially for each individual.
Individualized Placement and Follow up:
We contact the recommended treatment providers, facilitate intakes, schedule appointments, secure admission dates and coordinate the admission process including travel and payment arrangements. Weekly communication takes place with the treatment providers regarding progress and continuing care recommendations. Additionally, we provide ongoing communication with family members and outpatient therapists (as consents from the client will allow). Site visits can also be arranged as necessary.
Integrative Aftercare Support and Consultation:
Designed for clients returning home from inpatient, residential or intensive outpatient treatment. We offer continued support to clients in keeping their momentum and commitment to recovery going as they transition out of a more structured setting. Services includes any or all of the following: aftercare planning, assuring communication among all treatment providers, prioritizing recovery goals, ongoing needs assessments, specialized support and counseling for substance abuse, eating disorders, self harm, sexual compulsivity, offender behaviors, personality disorders, PTSD, parenting, career and life coaching, recovery monitoring, early intervention and continued accountability.
Services are available as needed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. In addition, recommendations may be made for 12-step recovery programs and other support services such as career counseling, body work, parenting classes and couples or family counseling.
Insurance and 3rd Party Payer Coordination:
We contact insurance agencies, check benefits, coordinate the pre-certification process and utilization reviews as well as facilitating payment to treatment providers by other 3rd party payers such as Victims Reparation Funds, Workman’s Compensation and Scholarship Funds.
